As it stands today, the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry (HVAC) consists of constantly evolving and innovative technology.

In fact, with dozens of major manufacturers battling for a larger share of the market, the competition for trend-setting developments has never been greater.

It is a factor that only makes things better for the consumer, as that competition has yielded some sizeable leaps forward not only in heating and cooling technology – making for faster and more effective comfort in the home or office – but also in efficiency – meaning that consumers are paying less in electrical consumption.

It also means that many HVAC contractors (the companies that actually install and maintain heating and air conditioning units) are able to offer their customers exciting options for their homes and businesses.

This is certainly true for heating and air contractors that install Trane products.

Built on 120 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Trane is proud of its heritage while focusing squarely on the future of producing the best in home and office comfort.

This is made clear by some of Trane’s most recent product releases, including two developments designed to enhance comfort beyond simple air temperature. These advances are designed with full customer contentment in mind – perfecting the very makeup of the air we breathe while also making the method in which we achieve comfort that much more intuitive.

The Trane CleanEffects

Do you suffer from allergies – either related to pollen, pets or dust? Then the Trane CleanEffects may offer lasting and significant relief.

Typically, chronic airborne allergy sufferers must turn to medication – either in pill or shot form – to achieve lasting relief, even in their own homes.

The Trane CleanEffects, however, is aimed at making the home a clean and allergen-free environment.

The first whole home air cleaning system to earn the Asthma and AllergyÒ certification, Trane CleanEffects captures airborne particulates – specifically, the three most common allergens found in the home: pet dander, grass pollen and dust mite feces.

Trane utilized a battery of rigorous performance tests to ensure the CleanEffects’ patented breakthrough air cleaning technology could make a difference for even the most sensitive allergy sufferer. To that end, the CleanEffects has been found to remove an astounding 99.98 percent of airborne allergens from the air that passes through the filter, leaving the air it circulates with a cleaner, healthier environment.

Included in those numbers are several forms of bacteria. And while the emergence and spread of a novel virus is foremost on a number of minds these days, it is important to remember that there are plenty of other dangers in the air we breathe.

And while you will still need to maintain certain routine precautions, such as changing your filters often, Trane’s CleanEffects will help you maintain the cleanest air environment possible in your home or office.

But that is not the only exciting development Trane is now offering.

Trane Forms Partnership with Samsung

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., is a global leader in the manufacture of home and office technology – from computers and cell phones, to televisions and washer/dryers. And now Trane has partnered with Samsung to bring that intuitive and cutting-edge technology to home comfort.

Trane Residential recently announced a strategic collaboration to enhance indoor air quality and elevate whole home comfort across smart devices and appliances.

The goal is to bring simplicity and convenience into the user’s connected experience – connecting technologies for better communication and operation.

In other words, Samsung and Trane are combining to help customers better and more efficiently control their home comfort – through every level of HVAC usage.

That integration has led to Samsung’s SmartThings platform, which can manage Trane’s connected thermostats, from wherever you may be.

“Creating an exceptional indoor air quality experience that also addresses sustainability is at the core of everything we do,” said George Land, general manager for Ingersoll Rand brand digital products, owner of Trane. “That is why it’s imperative for us to forge thoughtful relationships with like-minded leaders, like Samsung, to truly take extraordinary strides in smart home innovation.”

The Trane connected solutions, including the 1050, 824 and 850 thermostats – contain a built-in Nexia bridge, bringing smart home comfort to the homeowner’s fingertips and allowing them to remotely control their home and energy use. Paired with Samsung’s SmartThings and the Trane Clean Effects Indoor Air Cleaner, homeowners can now monitor and control indoor air quality by leveraging Samsung’s sensors to detect inconsistencies and set the air cleaner into action manually or through automations created in the Trane connected thermostat app.

“We’re also very excited to work with an industry leader like Trane,” said Sunggy Koo, Vice President, Home IoT at Samsung Electronics. “Jointly Samsung SmartThings and Trane will bring unique values to our customers who are looking for more seamless experiences at home.”

Both the Trane Connected Controls with Samsung SmartThings capabilities and the Trane CleanEffects are now available through Trane dealers – including dealers here in north Georgia.
